I don't give out 5 starts easily. I've been using this product for over a decade and it works much better than standard psyllium-only fiber supplements. My body is hyper-sensitive to allergens and psyllium products have a slight negative effect on me. Though this has psyllium in it, it is not the primary ingredient. The other ultra-positive is that using this has lowered my cholesterol level from 184 to 175. Perhaps that doesn't seem significant but consider this, when my cholesterol was tested at 184, I was maintaining a low-fat, healthy diet free from red meat and pork. Years later, my diet is higher fat and I eat more red meat and such. In other words, when my healthy eating habits went South, using this product *STILL* lowered my cholesterol level. Another anecdote comes from a friend of mine. Years ago he had a colonoscopy. If you've ever had one, you know they give you the option of seeing for yourself where that camera is going. His first exam showed many polyps in his large intestine. After this discovery he began using Herbal FiberBlend. After 6 months of use, he went back for another colonoscopy and the polyps were gone.
